Montreal and Beyond

My approach to philanthropy and fundraising is rooted in relationship, reciprocity, and justice. Over the past decade, I’ve supported organizations across Montreal and Canada in building funding strategies that are aligned with their values—and with the communities they serve.

From cooperatives and grassroots groups to foundations and businesses, I’ve worked alongside dozens of actors to design engagement plans that reconnect stakeholders to purpose. Whether donors are deeply aligned or initially distant from a mission, I build pathways for meaningful involvement and shared responsibility.

I’ve led fundraising workshops, supported movement-building and donor strategy with ecological, social and research organisations, and collaborate on campaign with feminist and queer movements. As a board member of ZX Studio and Espace LGBTQ+, I actively contribute to governance and resource development, supporting an healthy ecosystem of stakeholders that include and uplift all types of engagement.

Among the most impactful campaigns I’ve led, was the funding launch for Petite Maison sur Laprairie, where I helped secure large foundational support for the creation of a permanent community infrastructure offering social housing, cultural programming, and shared community organisational space and ressource in Pointe-Saint-Charles. This campaign demonstrated how a place-based vision can resonate across sectors—activating citizens, elected officials, and institutional funders around a shared goal.

Through these roles—and previous positions in philanthropy leadership—I’ve helped organizations articulate their impact, deepen trust, and grow support networks that are both financially and ethically sustainable. I see fundraising not as extraction, but as an act of alignment: resourcing the work that truly needs to grow.

I am located on lands that have been inhabited and cared for by Indigenous peoples for millennia. Tio’tia:ke/Montreal is part of an unceded territory traditionally stewarded by the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, known as the Keepers of the Eastern Door.

While I want to honor their continued presence, as well as that of a vibrant and diverse urban Indigenous community, I also want to recognize that our existence is currently within ongoing systems of colonialism and racism from which I continue to benefit.

As a community organiser, fundraiser, artist, and white settler-descent person, I am committed to concrete actions, engaging with my privileges to move towards a world that centers Two-Spirit, Indigiqueer, and more broadly Indigenous communities.
